Corporate Catering Lets You Eat Big but Light
2nd Sep 2016
Working an office job is not what human bodies have evolved to do. We have evolved to run and jump and hunt and be active. This also means we evolved to fight off other apex predators, and you won’t get that in an office (despite your feelings about that other manager). In any case, most office jobs are sedentary. Even if you are lucky enough to have a standing desk, the number of calories you burn in a day pale in comparison to the number of calories you need to eat to deal with the stress of the job. We’ve come up with a list of a few things you can do to help avoid packing on the pounds in your office job.
Corporate Catering Lets You Eat Big but Light
Being a corporate catering company, we, of course, have some great suggestions for this. It is hard to pick just one light and delicious meal off of our Fit-a-licious menu, but we’ll try. Our Boardroom Salads make the perfect nosh for a busy day when you just can’t get out of the office to eat, much less work out. We offer six different salads that all come with a honey wheat roll, Sweet Street Desserts and a salad. You can choose between BLT Chef, the Southwest Fiesta, the Buffalo Chicken, Asian Chicken or Caesar with Blackened Chicken, the Honey Salmon, or the London Broil. Any of these choices gives you a healthy meal with fewer calories, but lots of protein and flavor!
Move When You Can
There are a number of things you can do to make yourself move, even when you don’t want to. Besides moving, you can get a pedometer or fitness app to track your step and try to increase them every week. We’ve come up with a few tips to keep in mind when you are at work but don’t want to skip your workout.
- Park far away from the building so you have to walk into the building.
- Take the ‘scenic route” to the bathroom.
- Eat at your desk and use your lunch hour to walk or exercise.
- Get an exercise ball to sit on so you are always working your core muscles.
- Take regular breaks to stretch so that when you *do* exercise your muscles will be warmed up.
